Jacksonville Beach is nestled between Ponte Vedra Beach and Neptune Beach, stretching east from the Intracoastal to the Atlantic Ocean. Jacksonville Beach is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Jacksonville and 45 minutes from the Jacksonville International Airport. Although Jacksonville Beach is part of the Jacksonville municipality, it has its own mayor, city council, police and fire departments.
